October 23, 2009 - Living For Jesus is Fun

I rock. In September we bought the PoGo (polaroid's latest instant technology which isn't exactly instant, but it is pretty durn spiffy).

You can blue tooth images to it (unless you have an iPhone). You can direct connect just about any digi cam and print - but you CANNOT connect via usb to a computer and print. The thing is basically a portable, on the go, printer.

SO what do I do when my non bluetooth netbook has the pics I want to print? Well, I email them to my phone and print and then when I get a bunch of mini prints to put under the frontplate of my WACOM tablet! Wahoo! It's cute, I have never put anything under the cover before, but I was inspired today, I enjoy looking at random shots of this and that - and most were the poor quality images from the phone itself anyhow...

Some details about my PoGo...
  • First off, even when images print out less than perfect and sometimes even poorly, I LOVE IT!
  • Ruby is using ONLY these prints in her school/handwriting scrapbook. It keeps it simple, uniform and messless - peel backing off of photo and stick it down. Done deal.
  • It prints ONLY 2x3 photos, and ONLY on the special ZINK paper - from walmart $12 for 30 sheets, from Amazon.com $19.99 for 80 sheets (free shipping if you buy 2) The ink is IN THE PAPER.
  • The PoGo is SMALL, it fits in purse, backpack, pocket if you really want to about 3 x 5 x 1
  • bluetooth...from any phone but iPhone apparently (sorry Mr. Hinkel).
  • CORDLESS it will print 5 or 6 prints (sometimes more) from the battery - before needing recharged, charges in under 2 hours, handy for printing a quick pick you took of someone you just ran into that you might not see again for a while and you got a cute shot of their kids and your kids all being cute - so you don't have to email it, or mail a print later, you can just hand it to them. Kids love this.
  • all of my children can operate the machine
  • my husband can operate the machine
  • and finally, you too could make a cool collage for your wacom tablet (or stick them to the wall, or ceiling, or whatever)
And there you have it. I paid way too much for mine at Walmart, so I will leave you with a link to the lesser priced versions at Amazon. Mine is black. You KNOW I would have bought the pink or red if they'd had it though lol :D

link 1 to printer (black)
link 2 to printer/camera black
link 3 to printer red
link 4 to printer bundle in pink with carry pouch and 40 sheets of paper - keep in mind I paid nearly this much for just the printer and 10 sheets lol

Luxor. It's like this sick and twisted addiction I have. Pretty much any game where you shoot colored little balls, blops or whatever you want to call them at chains of colored balls, blops or whatever they are - they suck me in. :)

Aunt Sissy came to visit today (and drop off everything we left in Gates when we were there for the Anniversary Party). Everyone loves Aunt Sis!

9-year-old perspective.
If Daddy is in charge and you aren't getting your own way, Daddy gets put on the "Nauty" list, which then turns into more distress because Nauty is really Naughty and is now one of your spelling words.

He has since been removed from the "Nauty" list.

Today we went to the pumpkin patch and I took some cute pics of the kids, but this one of my friend Kristi and her Pummy-ummy-umpkin - is really one of the cutest!

I love Ron & Kristi :D

Daytime view of last night's art project. Please note paint bottles up against side of house. She did have some method to her madness...one paint puddle and walk until paint has faded and you need more...some of the footprints made it all the way up the steps to the front door.

Someone - who likes to paint - also likes her own footprints. This piece of artwork was my first discovery after stepping out of my car when I got home from work.

Don't you feel sorry for our cat? What a lovely portrait of Natasha - by Abby. And why are the Golden Grahams in my bed?

Abby folded pizza boxes at Gino's while she waited for Kurt to come and get her and Ruby before I clocked in for work.

Audrey turned 4 today!! Happy Birthday Audrey!

Today's photo on the roll of film too :)

October 12, 2009 - Living For Jesus is Fun

Hmm. Can't find the photo from this day - but I will warn you now, I have started taking some of the daily photos with, GASP, REAL FILM!! That's right folks. It all started when I accidentally bid on a lens I thought I was getting for my sad little rebel, and when I was paying for it, I realized it was not an EF mount, it was a bayonette FD mount...so I googled it and it turns out it goes on this older model 35mm Canon that's moving into "collectable," and I just so happen to have that mount on my Canon T50, 35mm camera. Sweet.

SO, I have been shooting with the T50 a little using my new cute little 50mm f/1.8 lens :) I like it :D You never REALLY know what you are going to get. Development day should be fun :D

We spent the afternoon with Cousin Audrey, went to Goodwill, right across the street from this awesome Chinese Restaurant, Eng's, at the end of Commercial in Salem - in case you want to eat the *brain* soup like I did (aka, wontons) - Audrey was SO FUNNY! I asked what she wanted to eat and she said, "Chinese." So I explained that, yeah, we're in a Chinese restaurant, you will be eating Chinese food, but do you want chicken, rice, veggies, noodles...and she shouted back, "NO! I SAID I WANT CHINESE!!"

So, I repeated my request, "do you want CHINESE chicken? CHINESE rice? CHINESE veggies?..." then we made progress. So I inquired about tea and she said, "No thanks, I'd like a cup of coffee please..." Until it was explained that Chinese people drink tea...then tea was cool with her as well :D

Happy 50th Anniversary Uncle Bob & Aunt Marcia!
The kids and I drove to Gates so Cam could babysit at Grandma Martha's and Grandma Martha could give me a ride to the party in Stayton (to save on gas, parking and the embarrassment of me getting lost).

Hallie was supposed to ride with us but thought the party started at 7 not 6 and her sitter hadn't arrived yet, so I got dropped off :D I'm special :D

My cousins did an AMAZING job putting this celebration together, it was BEAUTIFUL and a wonderful time of friends and family! Loved it!

Can we pretend blogger eats my posts? :D

Okay, they're sideways and I am not turning them. This made me LAUGH SO HARD (I am sorry to all you KISS fans...no, really, I'm not...) but come on, is this band SO washed up they have to resort to licensing their likenesses to M&M?? Honestly, these little hummers were $6 a bag. DUDE, I can have the BIG BAGS - 2 or 3 of them, for that price. I could buy a bag of peanut AND a bag of plain...WOW! Anyhow, it was a good laugh...

The kids are pretty cute, but the photo leaves a lot to be desired. My girls love to chit chat with the Gino's Girls :)

October 3, 2009 - Living For Jesus is Fun

Shortly after Ruby's announcement that she was AWESOME this morning, Kurt exclaimed, "There's a jellyfish on the ceiling."

Indeed.
A jellyfish.

I got MY phone back today and got to give the less than stellar loaner phone back to the phone store! And there you have it, the first photo I took after getting it back! Ruby on the porch with her *fort.*

AND all of my data is STILL on it. My ringtones. My photos. My speed dials are all gone...my contacts had to be updated again, there were no texts left, but whatever. Photos and ringtones still there - way cool :D

OCTOBER 1, 2009 - Living For Jesus is - where did this year go? FUN!!

Beach night. It was beautiful out - not exactly warm, but beautiful. I convince the kids to let me take them to the beach...only by allowing them to bring the dog. Yes, I am mean. I don't really like the dog. I actually don't really like ANIMALS (pets) at all - except when they are on my plate. But I let that hair shedding stinky creature into my car because the children love him, and Kurt loves him, and he's a necessary evil...

And I got a few cute pics while I was at it. I love the pink sky at night over the water, the dark green water, the rolling sound of the waves, and even sand fleas are pretty cool hopping along. Glad we went :D

Know what these are? That's right - THE MOST PERFECT COOKIES EVER TO COME OUT OF THE OVEN AT GINO'S!! I painstakingly babied these little (um, big) hummers from start to finish. Cooked them until they were done on the bottom, on the parchment papers, then transferred them to inverted pizza pans and finished cooking them, so the bottoms would be perfect and the centers wouldn't be RAW. Awesome. I was so tickled with myself :D

Even when Boss Krystal got there and inquired, "who made a million cookies?" :D
